Washington County Wine, Jazz and Pops Festival

"A great success!" . .   "Something new and different for Washington County--fantastic wine, food and sound" . . . "Can we have the same location next year?" . . . "This is impressive--the first wine festival I have been to with a full orchestra!"

These are only a few of the wonderful comments and compliments the organizers of the First Annual Washington Wine Jazz and Pops Festival received. The festival provided delicious food, a variety of wines to suit all palates, handmade jewelry and exciting entertainment.

Saturday was literally a hot day of cool jazz as the weather cleared and the sun came out. On Sunday, the jazz acts, the WSO and our other performers had pulled in one thousand  visitors from age 7 months to 91 years old. In addition, there were 16 sponsors who contributed thousands of dollars to the event, a joint fundraiser for the Washington Symphony Orchestra and the Mental Health Association.
