We are proud to be presenting an outstanding array of musical talent from various genres.  You're sure to enjoy the musicians, to find styles familiar to you, and, we hope, to discover and appreciate some new musical experiences.

Scott Boni is a saxophonist and composer from Washington, Pennsylvania whose motto is “Fresh, organic music with no pesticides.” As the leader of the Scott Boni Trio he performs throughout the Boston area. He also performs with the Early Music/Jazz hybrid group, The Broken Consort as well as the George Lernis Quartet. Scott received a Master’s Degree from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Berklee College of Music.  Based in Pittsburgh, Salsamba performs at clubs, festivals and colleges throughout the United States. Festival appearances have included the Mellon Jazz Festival, Bethlehem Musikfest, Music Festival of Arkansas, Afro-Latin- Indian Festival at Waterbury CT, Eureka Springs Jazz Festival, Stifel Performing Arts Series, Wheeling WV, and Charleston Jazz Series, WV. Founders are Eric Susoeff on guitar and George Jones on congas. Other members of the group are Eric DeFade on saxophone, bassist Paul Thompson and drummer Tom Wendt. They pride themselves on pursuing the "perfect combination of Latin rhythm and jazz harmony." The band recently released its 6th CD, "Mojito Blues." Dave Throckmorton grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania, where he started playing drums as a toddler. Dave has played on world tours with Maynard Ferguson and has worked with musicians such as Will Lee, Billy Sheehan, Arturo Sandoval, Larry Coryell, Tim Reis and Michael Feinstien. DAVE returned to the Pittsburgh area in 2000 and recorded a critically acclaimed CD called “Beautiful Doom” with the power trio Electric Eel Service. Currently Throckmorton is touring and recording with electric guitarist Dave “Fuze” Fiuczinski (Screaming Headless Torsos, M’Shell Ndegeocello, John Medeski, Jack DeJonnette) and bassist Tony Grey (John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock, Hiromi).

A renowned jazz legend, he has performed with some of the most prestigious jazz celebrities of our time. Roger has provided the rhythmic beat for such greats as Ray Charles, Horace Silver, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Stanley Turrentine, James Moody, Lee Morgan, Dr. Billy Taylor, Benny Green, Lionel Hampton, Coleman Hawkins, Clark Terry, J.J. Washington Symphony Orchestra--After completing its 10th regular season of concerts, the WSO will perform pops galore and familiar classics a great beginning to a Sunday afternoon of fun! Popular classics, Broadway tunes, and great summer sounds will kick off the Sunday afternoon entertainment.

Michael Passalacqua’s Blues Band--a local Washington area group, will add a selection of blues arrangements to entertain and relax in the great outdoors.

You won’t want to miss Pop Acapella, a duo of singers who know them all from Van Morrison to Lady Gaga. “Vulcanize” and “Acapella Stella” sing popular hits you’ll recognize and want to sing or dance along.

Our 2012 Wine, Jazz and Pops festival will end with an upbeat performance of familiar jazz classics performed by the Washington Jazz Society’s Big Band and vocalists, led by “Justice of Jazz,” Washington County Judge John DiSalle on saxophone.

Festival hours are Saturday noon-7PM, and Sunday, noon-5PM.  For your comfort, we suggest you bring a blanket and/or a chair along with you.
