Joshua Bowman

Cello

Joshua Bowman began with the WSO for the 2024-2025 season and plans to continue for many more seasons. He currently attends neighboring college, Washington and Jefferson College, where he plans to minor in music. He currently studying with the principal cellist of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Elisa Kohanski and formerly studied with Dr. Mark Taylor for many years. He has been playing cello since the age of 8. He made his solo debut recently in 2024 performing a movement of Vivaldi’s Double Cello Concerto. Furthermore, he has performed multiple studio recitals performing works of Bach, Vivaldi, Breval, Marcello, and more. He is also the recipient of the 2024 Senior Medal Award for Orchestra from Westfield High School’s Symphonic Orchestra. Outside of music, Josh follows many different sports such as Baseball & Rugby.
