Laura Campus
English Horn
A member of the symphony since 2017, Laura set out to play the oboe in 4th grade. In grade school, she studied piano, played the viola, and sang in choir in addition to playing the oboe. Upon graduating high school, she earned a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University in Music Education and Oboe Performance. She would like to thank Holly White and Robert Morgan, her oboe teachers. After graduation, Laura worked as a music teacher in the Chicago area before relocating to Pittsburgh and joining the WSO. After joining the WSO, Laura met her future husband, fellow musician Chris of the trumpet section. She now teaches music in Trinity Area School District and hopes to inspire young musicians to join the orchestra one day!
