Tracyleigh Rice, currently living in Mt. Lebanon, has always loved playing the flute including the piccolo, alto, bass and contra as well as the more common C flute. She has increased her flute-playing proficiency after retirement from a career in teaching Mathematics and raising her larger family with six children, as they are grown and leaving home. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington for her Math degrees and took advantage of the music-learning opportunities while there. Decades later, she enjoys playing in various ensembles in the area, including at Duquesne, Carnegie Mellon, Heinz Hall and Penn State. She is currently discovering jazz and is grateful for living out her dream of playing music with others.
